CHINA WEDDING.  Mr. and Mrs. D.W. ZENT return sincere thanks to their many friends for their kindly remembrance of them on Christmas night -- the twentieth anniversary of their wedding.  About half-past eight o'clock a knock was heard at the door, which upon being opened disclosed first Rev. N.A. SAXTON and Mrs. MADDEN, and after them a number too numerous to mention.  The last who came were Messrs. MADDEN and LITTLE, bearing between them a large basket containing a beautiful set of china.  The surprise was complete.  Rev. SAXTON then delivered a short address in his usual impressive manner.  Shortly after a number of tin instruments were heard from out of doors, strongly suggestive of an old time "belling".  At half-past eleven the company unanimously decided "it was time to go home" and left, declaring they had enjoyed the evening thoroughly.  The present was highly appreciated, not alone for its intrinsic value, but for the esteem with which it shows their many friends regard them.

SAMUEL SHAFER of this place, was visiting at his daughter's in Ashtabula Harbor, at the time of the bridge disaster, and was on the spot next morning while the wreck was still burning.  He says to read the papers you get but a meager idea of the affair as it really was.
